Aeronautical Engineering
Aeronautical engineering is a branch of engineering that has its roots in mechanical engineering. An aeronautical engineer is responsible for the research, design and testing of aircraft, missiles and satellites and their components. They specialise in fields such as Aerodynamics (dealing with the flow of air), Flight dynamics (dealing with how the aircraft behaves in the air and its control), Structural analysis and design (dealing with the structure and materials of an aircraft), Propulsion (dealing with engines), and Systems (dealing with the integration of all the various systems of an aircraft).
