Chemical Engineering
Chemical engineers in aerospace are involved in the development of complex processes to support a wide range of materials and chemicals. For instance in the turbine blade manufacturing industry advanced ceramics and bonding chemicals are used to create the moulds into which molten metal is poured to make parts. Likewise advanced chemical coatings are used extensively to protect wear and exposed surfaces in aircraft components.
